比較級 ___A___ is ~er than ___B___. 例如：The blue pencil is better than the red one. (藍色的鉛筆筆紅色的好.) Louis is stronger than Terry. (Louis比Terry有力量.)
單母音如tall、short、small、long、strong等直接加er。 tall -->taller short --> shorter small --> smaller long --> longer strong --> stronger
單母音big、fat、hot等為短母音，且字尾為單一子音，要重複字尾的子音再加er。 big --> bigger fat --> fatter hot --> hotter
不規則變化 good --> better bad --> worse |
